Day 1

Bangkok arrival day

Day 2

Bangkok Optional Tour to Temple and City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, (Optional Tour) Temple and City Tour (A tour of Bangkok city including visits to the temples of Wat Pho and Wat Traimitr, followed by a visit to Royal Lapidary.) Duration of tour: Duration of tour: 3 hours 45 mins (The Tour: A tour of historic and modern Krung Thep, or 'City of Angels' as Bangkok is known to the Thai people. The programme includes a visit to Wat Jetuphon (better known as Wat Pho), the oldest of the city temples situated opposite the Grand Palace. The temple is renowned as Thailand's oldest university and there are instructive murals illustrating the finer points of Thai massage which is still taught and practised here. The highlight is the 46 metre long and 15 metre high statue of a reclining Buddha. Also included is a visit to Wat Traimitr, located near to Bangkok's main railway station. The temple houses a 5.5 tonne gold Buddha, which was discovered when it's plaster casing broke whilst being transported to its new home from the port area. The tour terminates via a visit to a Jewelry retailer (Royal Lapidary).& includes Pick up at hotel, transportation, local speaking guide, entrance to Wat Po and Wat Traimitr, and visit to Royal Lapidary.

Day 3

Bangkok Optional Tour to Canal Tour

Breakfast at the hotel, (Optional Tour) Canal Tour (An early morning boat ride through the canals of Thonburi, watching the city by the river wake up.) Duration of tour: 5 hours (The Tour: Old Bangkok was a city of canals, linking neighbourhoods to markets and the main artery of the Chao Phraya River, earning it the title, 'Venice of the East'. Take an early morning transfer to a pier on the Chao Phraya River and board a long-tail boat launch to explore the narrow canals of Thonburi, where stilt houses still line the banks and families can sometimes be seen going through their ablutions in the murky waters. You might also see the monks collecting their daily food rations from the faithful. During the tour you will see renowned sights such as the Temple of the Dawn and the Royal Barges Museum) & includes Pick up at hotel, transportation via coach, English speaking guide, long-tail boat ride for the canal trip.

Day 4

Bangkok Optional Tourn to Damnernsaduak Floating Market

Breakfast at the hotel, (Optional Tour) Damnernsaduak Floating Market (half day) (An excursion to the colorful floating market of Damnernsaduak.) Duration of tour: 7 hours (The Tour: Depart to Ratchaburi province, for the village of Damnernsaduak, about 110km from Bangkok. First visit a coconut plantation to see harvesting and handicrafts, then on to Damnernsaduak, surrounded by a network of khlongs (canals) that radiate out into the orchards and gardens in the surrounding countryside. Daily, local farmers gather fruits, vegetables and prepared dishes and trade them along the canals to the drop off point at the market wharf. Seasonalfruits on offer include mango, jackfruit, rambutan, the notoriously pungent durian and many more. Optional boat hire is available at the market wharf to explore the narrow canals. Further optional visits include a Snake Farm, an Elephant ride, and the Royal Thai Handicrafts workshop. On return to Bangkok the tour terminates via a visit to the Gems Gallery.) & includes Pick up at hotel, transportation via coach, English speaking guide, visit to Damnernsaduak floating market and visit to a Gems Gallery.

Day 5

Bangkok Optional Tour to Dreamworld

Breakfast at the hotel, (Optional Tour ) Dreamworld with Lunch (Let your hair down in Dreamworld, a fantasy land with something for all members of the family.) Duration of tour: 6 hours (The Tour: Travelling with the kids? A day out to Dreamworld should keep all members of the family entertained. This permanent fairground lies just to the north of the city. Enter through Dreamland Plaza, a village of exotic European architecture. Tour the Dream Garden via sightseeing train, cable car and bicycle boat. Replicas of famous buildings, for e.g. the Pyramids and Angkor Wat are on display. Fantasy Land introduces some of the gentler rides and games. Adventure Land is where the serious thrills are to be found. Dare you ride the hanging coaster? Or plunge deep inside the space mountain on a high-speed train? Or take a trip on the flying carpet? There are also some rides suitable for younger kids such as the bump boat, the battery car, the monorail and the bumper cars. An optional extra is Snow Town - the only place in Thailand where you can build snowmen or take a sleigh ride.) & includes Pick up at hotel, transportation via coach, English speaking assistance, entrance to Dreamworld, local lunch.

Bangkok departure day
