The pilot, Maj. Gen. Hassan Rashed, Chairman of the Cairo International Airport, the number of passengers at Cairo airport has risen to 16.1 million passengers in 2010, compared to 2009 which reached the number of passengers 12.2 million passengers, explaining that the year 2010 marked many of the disturbances in air traffic in the Europe as a result of volcanic activity and ice storms, but the company succeeded in overcoming those difficulties.

 Rashid added that the plan of the port of Cairo in 2011, will improve the services of manpower and parks, in addition to the airport seasonality.
